1. The License (GPLv2)
1.1 Your Freedoms. Under the GPLv2, you are free to use LinkSentinel for any purpose, study how it works, modify it, and redistribute it—including modified versions—on any number of WordPress sites, for clients or for yourself, commercially or not. No fees, no seat limits, no managed-service subscription required.
1.2 Copyleft. If you distribute LinkSentinel or a derivative of it, you must do so under the GPLv2 and make the corresponding source available. You may not relicense it under more restrictive terms or strip the license and copyright notices.

2. Data Handling
2.1 Runs Locally. LinkSentinel scans internal link URLs, link status, and scan/fix logs, and stores all of it locally in your own WordPress database. It does not phone home: no link data, scan results, or telemetry is transmitted to Pragmatic Bear or any third-party service.
2.2 Your Responsibility. You control your WordPress installation, its database access, and its backups. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the plugin complies with applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, and the like). We recommend a database backup before any bulk link operation.
3. No Warranty
3.1 "AS IS". As stated in the GPLv2, LinkSentinel is provided free of charge and WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY—without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. The entire risk as to quality and performance is with you.
3.2 No SEO Guarantees. Link health is one of many factors in search performance. We make no guarantees about rankings, traffic, or any business outcome from using the plugin.
3.3 Review Before You Apply. LinkSentinel includes preview and logging features, but bulk edits change your content. To the extent permitted by law, Pragmatic Bear is not liable for data loss, content corruption, or unintended changes. You are responsible for reviewing and approving changes before applying them, and for keeping backups.
4. Support & Contributions
4.1 Community Support. LinkSentinel is community-supported. Report bugs, request features, and ask questions via GitHub Issues. There is no guaranteed response time for the open-source project.
4.2 Managed Option. Pragmatic Bear runs and maintains LinkSentinel for clients as part of hands-on WordPress care. That hands-on service—not the plugin—is what those retainers cover. See plans if you’d rather not run it yourself.
4.3 Contributions. Pull requests are welcome. By contributing, you agree your contributions are licensed under the same GPLv2.
